This was a talk by Laleh Mehran, an EDP professor at DU, about her work and the process that goes into it. She described two of her projects and the details behind their concepts and setup. The first was a simulation using fans and activated lighting on a board to show how simple things like breathing can spread CO2 around a city, thus how more dangerous acts are far more wide reaching in the air that we think. The other was an art piece showing many religious symbols in a box where there are screens containing thousands of grey balls that react to the people moving inside. These pieces were very complicated in their setup, as weeks worth of hours had to be placed into getting everything just right since the technical aspects of each were deeply involved.
